The Logo

The official logo for the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Bihar, encapsulates the state’s deep cultural roots and progressive vision through a vibrant blend of symbolic elements. Dominated by the national colors—orange and green—it stands as a mandatory emblem across all promotional materials. The theme "Khel Ke Rang! Bihar Ke Sang!" echoes Bihar’s sporting resurgence, celebrating its emergence as a modern sports hub. The logo artistically integrates key icons of the state’s heritage: the Mahabodhi Temple signifying spiritual and historical depth; the Peepal tree symbolizing growth and prosperity; the intricate Madhubani art reflecting cultural richness; and the Valmiki Tiger Reserve and Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary underscoring ecological diversity. Cultural pride shines through Chhath Puja’s sun worship traditions, while the Ashoka Chakra connects Bihar’s legacy to India’s national identity. The world-renowned Nalanda University represents Bihar’s contributions to global education, complemented by the House Sparrow—its state bird—highlighting conservation efforts. The Lion Capital, a national emblem rooted in Bihar’s Mauryan past, reflects strength and justice. All these elements are elegantly unified within the map outline of Bihar, turning the logo into a powerful celebration of the state’s glorious past and dynamic present.

The Mascot - Gajasimha

Gajasimha, the official mascot of the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Bihar, is a powerful symbol of athletic excellence and cultural heritage. Inspired by ancient temple sculptures from Nalanda and Bodh Gaya during the Pala period, this mythical creature—an extraordinary fusion of lion and elephant—captures the essence of strength, wisdom, endurance, and fearless leadership. Much like athletes who channel both strategic thinking and physical prowess, Gajasimha represents the limitless potential of sportspersons as they rise to conquer competitive challenges. Dressed in a vibrant blue and white jersey emblazoned with the official Khelo India logo, and wearing tricolor wristbands that reflect India’s national pride, the mascot proudly blends patriotism with Bihar’s rich artistic tradition. Its elephant trunk pays homage to the state’s reverence for elephants in classical art and architecture, while the lion’s body symbolizes unmatched power and confidence. With a dynamic fist pump, Gajasimha stands tall as a tribute to Bihar’s winning spirit, hosting the nation’s most prestigious youth sports event.
